Michelle Lone, VCan2020 Director

Food Brings Hope recently announced the addition of Michelle Lone to the FBH Team to serve as the VCan2020 Director. Michelle’s goal will be to expand the FBH reach and mission by providing immediate and temporary support to families in need who have contacted the VCan2020 help line. Michelle will assist clients by first collaborating with agencies to build bridges for support and self-sufficiency and then providing clients with applicable information. Addressing the client’s urgent and immediate needs, such as food or shelter, will be a priority.

Michelle hails from the Midwest, born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, only moving to Florida in 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Michigan State University.

For the majority of her career, Michelle has been involved in the hospitality industry in different capacities, from operations management to marketing and sales, but always intrinsically linked to her underlying passions – food and service to others! Food Brings Hope and VCan2020 presents Michelle a unique opportunity to serve children in need and their families by supplying food and other life necessities to them.

Michelle believes food security provides hope and is something that connects and nourishes us on more than a physical level! It feeds our mind, our spirit, and our emotions. She feels privileged to be part of the Food Brings Hope organization and to help FBH fulfill its Mission of nurturing the body, mind and spirit of underprivileged children in our community.
