Through support from community organizations, Food Brings Hope offers enrichment opportunities to the students we serve. Field trips to cultural destinations, educational seminars, outings to sporting events, and other organized events are designed to provide meaningful memories and experiences to students who might not otherwise get to enjoy them. <<Read More>>
One of the missions of Halifax Urban Ministries is homeless prevention. HUM believes removing the stress of food insecurity from the equation helps keep families from becoming homeless. That is, when their grocery bills are reduced, families are left with more funds available for basic housing needs. With Food Brings Hope's mission to eliminate hunger among our community's children, the partnership with HUM on weekend food bags was a natural extension of our respective missions. <<Read More>>
